How to Be a Lady: Etiquette

Alright ladies, its your turn. This is an excerpt from:
How to Be a Lady

  1. Never compliments only one person in a group setting.
  2. Knows how to prioritize her life to make her schedule available to friends and family.
  3. Always respects other peoples time.
  4. Never asks other professionals such as doctors for free advice
  5. Always returns borrowed items in a timely manner and in the same condition received.
  6. Never makes a date out of desperation.

  7. Always cleans up after her pet

  8. Is always prepared when approaching an ATM or bank drive-though.
  9. Does not ask dating couples when they are getting married or having children.
  10. Never points out the imperfections of her mate to others.

I agree too, especially with the last one -- if you can't depend on your partner to avoid talking about you behind your back, who can you depend on?

Great list! I know some people who could work on the returning thins in a timely manner! One of my sorority sisters has two of my milly dresses (she borrowed them in Dec) ugh!

All so true - especially 3 - it is so lacking in so many these days! Have you read the 'How to be a Good Wife' and 'How to be good Husband' books? Written in the 1910s and reprinted (available everywhere here) - they are really amusing - but there are some gems of tips in there as well - you must hunt them down! :)
