The NYC trip!!

I honestly don't know where to start, this trip was beyond fantastic! I felt like a princess from day one! As you've probably heard from my sweet friends (Miss M, ABCD, & Ky) I got engaged on Monday! I am so over the moon excited to be engaged to not only my best friend but THE most wonderful man I know (such a lucky girl!!). I just got home this morning from the big apple, so I know that this post has been a few days coming but, I didn't want to type it from my phone!
He proposed in Central Park on Cherry Hill. The view from Cherry Hill is so beautiful and honestly makes NYC look like a fairy tale. We were on a carriage ride through the park when the driver "Aris" stopped at Cherry Hill to let us out to explore. He proposed on a little pathway in front of the lake, it was so perfect thanks to the help of the wonderful Amy from ABCD designs (we are forever grateful!!) for giving Manolo all of the good spots in NYC. I couldn't have been more excited!

Now on to the stationery portion of the trip.....
I really enjoyed the stationery show, and met a ton of wonderful vendor's and I am full of inspiration. I am really looking forward to getting back to the drawing board!
But the highlight of the stationery show for me was meeting with Trisha Hay, Mimi from Mika 78 and of course the (NYC host/ proposal helper) Amy from ABCD Designs. I got to sit down with each of these wonderful ladies and chat about stationery. Each one of them have a different style and ways of designs, and each are wonderful. They are truly in the top of their game and I learned so much from them this week.

...
Trisha Hay is a free lance graphic designer with a pallet for all things black and white. Her designs are really fresh, smart, and graphically superb. I so enjoyed spending the morning with her and I look forward to seeing her very soon since she lives about an hour away!!

I met with Mimi from Mika 78 for lunch. Mimi is a terrific stationery designer that specializes in wedding invitations. Mimi was so welcoming and sweet. Her designs have a real unique romantic feel and super detailed! She shared a lot about her experiences and design techniques, I learned so much and really enjoyed our lunch!
After that I met Amy from ABCD Designs for Champagne! As soon as we met I felt like we had been friends forever. We found out that we have the same back ground in interior design and had left to start stationery companies (so funny)!! Amy specializes in stationery for special events such as weddings and babies. Her designs are beautiful, well thought out, and cohesive. Not only is her portfolio amazing, so is she! I really enjoyed our chat and love that she was in on the proposal!

I can say with all honesty that this was the best trip I have ever taken.
NYC now holds a special place in my heart!
